How To Set a Custom Ringtone on iPhone (2 Method)

How to manually add a ringtone file to the Ringtones folder

Method 1: Set Custom Ringtone on iPhone without PC


  1. Mp3/m4r ringtone file.. You can download it from or google it.
  2. MusicToRingtone app: You Can get it from Apple App Store

Main procedure to make a ringtone from TikTok sound:

  1. Open MusicToRingtone app that you have installed on your phone.
  2. Tap on the Load button and choose from 4 locations. Either pick a song from your iTunes library, music or video files from the Files app, or videos from your photo album. then choose your TikTok sound/ringtone location.
  3. Start by Tapping the Start button to play the sound.
  4. Drag the pie section or tap on the + button under the Start label to pick a starting position. Tap on the – button to go back.
  5. Adjust the duration of the ringtone by tapping the + button or – button under the Duration label.
  6. Ringtone name can be changed by tapping the red x button, Change Name button.
  7. Tap on the Save button.
  8. Tap on Share as GarageBand file.
  9. Once the share sheet is shown, scroll right and tap on More.
  10. Scroll to Copy to GrageBand and tap.
  11. GarageBand will open with the ringtone imported.
  12. Tap and hold on the file to display the menu.
  13. Tap on Share.
  14. Tap on Ringtone.
  15. Tap on Continue, Export, and OK. Ringtone will begin to export.

Method 2: Set Custom Ringtone on iPhone with PC

Steps to Load the Ringtone on your iPhone:

  1. Download the m4r file.
  2. Install the latest iTunes version.
  3. Connect your iPhone to your computer via USB cable.
  4. Launch iTunes.
  5. Follow the prompts on your iPhone and iTunes to trust and allow device access.
  6. Cancel any prompts that appear asking to sync your iPhone if you don’t use this feature.
  7. In iTunes, click the iPhone icon on the toolbar, below Controls and Account.
  8. Scroll down to the Options section and click the checkbox to enable Manually manage music and videos.
  9. Click Done.
  10. On the left menu pane, click Tones.
  11. Drag and drop the m4a file from it’s folder to Tones.
  12. The ringtone should appear in black text. If it is grayed out or has a dotted wheel icon next to the ringtone name, replug your iPhone and relaunch iTunes. Then repeat steps 10 and 11.
